The waves of La Sud are the ideal place to discover the learning of surfing. This spot holds several peaks which allows to have a wide choice before getting into the water! In addition the spot offers waves that break both on the left and right. The South is bounded by the port and a rocky strip that separates it from La Centrale. The beach extends over several hundred meters, so the distribution between surfers and schools is facilitated.

La Centrale beach is home to two types of waves. Indeed, the wave of the North offshore is one of the big waves of reference in the sector. The best surfers are therefore at La Gravière to tame his hits and try to have one of the waves of their lives! The gravel pit is a shorebreak wave that requires a certain technique and commitment to any event!

The Culs-Nus spot named after the nudist beach where this wave is breaking has become publicized since the Quik Pro France put down its luggage a few years ago. The spot offers a multitude of left and right on different peaks. The Culs-Nus sandbar is currently a safe bet for surfers of a good level even if the beginners find there the days when the swell is less present.

Estagnots and Bourdaines are two similar spots. Indeed, they offer surfers of all levels waves of qualities to learn or improve their surfing. The waves of these two spots work as well at high tide as at low tide for most of the time. Left and right waves break for many meters at low tide. Longboard is very present on these spots because the wave breaks far off. These two spots are renowned, they have already hosted the Quik Pro France when conditions were not optimal on Hossegor.

The Santocha wave is a particular wave because it is the only wave to sweep only right. The reason ? It is located against a rocky bank facing the CERS of Capbreton. Technical wave and hollow when the swell is well wedged, the surfers of a good level will feast! Nevertheless beginners can learn to surf without problem when conditions permit.
Surf Level: Beginner – Intermediate
Spot also located opposite the CERS of Capbreton, the Prévent is a place where learning to surf is ideal. Indeed, this spot offers waves of average sizes, perfect for novice and intermediate surfers. This spot is also good when there is wind. Due to its location, the Prevent is sheltered from the wind and therefore a real fallback spot.

The La Piste wave is the twin sister of La Gravière. This tubular wave requires a good level of surfing for people who come to surf it. The wave sweeps both left and right and offers several options for exits. The track shows its most beautiful face on days when the swell is quite consistent and conducive to the tubes. The vague reference to Capbreton!
