Hossegor

La Sud

La Gravière

A Worldclass wave, La Gravière is THE SPOT everyone knows in Hossegor and around the world. One explanation? Its Pipeline-like tubular waves, but also the fact that the Quiksilver Pro France, a stage of the WCT, is held virtually every year on this legendary spot. The best surfers gather at La Gravière to tame its tubes and try to get one of the waves of their lives! La Gravière is a shorebreak wave that demands technique and commitment!

La Centrale

La Centrale beach is home to two types of waves. The offshore wave of La Nord is one of the area's benchmark wholesale waves. When the big swells roll in, La Nord offers the area's best chargers 3-4-meter waves. Enough to organize the Rip Curl Challenge La Nord in surf and Stand Up Paddle for several years now.

La Centrale beach also has a hollow wave that works well at high tide. When conditions are right at high tide, pretty tubes are created for all to enjoy!

Bare bottoms

The Culs-nus spot, named after the naturist beach where the wave breaks, has been in the media spotlight ever since the Quik Pro France came to town a few years ago. The spot offers a multitude of lefts and rights on different peaks. The Culs-nus sandbank is currently a safe bet for surfers of a good level, even if beginners will find it to their liking on days when the swell is less present.

Seignosse

Les Estagnots & Les Bourdaines

Les Estagnots and Les Bourdaines are two similar spots. Indeed, they offer surfers of all levels quality waves to learn or perfect their surfing. The waves at these two spots work just as well at high tide as they do at low tide for most of the time. Lefts and rights break for many meters at low tide. Longboarding is very present on these spots, as the wave breaks far offshore. These two spots are renowned, and have already hosted the Quik Pro France when conditions weren't optimal in Hossegor.

Capbreton

Santocha

The Santocha wave is special in that it's the only one to break only on the right. The reason? It's located against a rocky shoal opposite Capbreton's CERS. A technical, hollow wave when the swell is right, it's a real treat for advanced surfers! However, beginners are welcome to try their hand at surfing, conditions permitting.

La Piste

The La Piste wave is La Gravière's twin sister. This tubular wave demands a good level of surfing from those who come to ride it. The wave breaks on both the left and the right, offering a variety of exit options. The slope is at its best on days when the swell is big enough for tubes. The reference wave in Capbreton!

Le Prévent

Also located opposite Capbreton's CERS, Le Prévent is an ideal place to learn to surf. Indeed, this spot offers medium-sized waves, perfect for beginner and intermediate surfers. It's also the perfect spot for windy conditions. Thanks to its location, Le Prévent is sheltered from the wind, making it a real fallback spot.
